I am a Senior Computer Vision Engineer with over 15 years of hands-on experience in camera algorithms, optics, and image quality tuning. My work spans multiple ISP architectures, where I have developed and optimized imaging modules by working closely with exceptional hardware and software engineering teams. During my time at ARRI and Dream Chip, I contributed to several patented innovations, developed advanced camera algorithms, and led the image quality tuning team responsible for subjective evaluation across diverse customer applications. I graduated with Honors from the Elite Master Program in Advanced Optical Technologies at Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen–Nürnberg, supported by the MAOT Scholarship. My academic interests cover laser technology, optics, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, digital signal processing, numerical optimization, and medical imaging. To complement my technical expertise, I am currently pursuing an MBA at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management with school scholarship, focusing on technology-driven strategy and leadership. Outside of work, I am passionate about photography and travel—exploring cultures and capturing the world through carefully tuned imaging systems. I am particularly interested in roles and engagements at the intersection of technology, product strategy, and business growth, and I remain open to consultancy opportunities related to camera imaging and image quality challenges.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Arnold & Richter Cine Technik GmbH (ARRI)
Research and Development
Munich, Germany
-
Improved ARRI camera image quality by ~20% by developing and deploying advanced spatial processing algorithms, including state-of-the-art demosaicing and defect pixel correction, while significantly reducing processing time via GPU-based prototyping.
-
Spearheaded the design and implementation of ARRI’s ADA7-SW demosaicing algorithm within the ARRI Reference Tool, resulting in measurable gains in image resolution and visual fidelity.
-
Designed a two-stage dynamic pixel error correction pipeline for image sensors, enhancing robustness across varying capture conditions.
-
Developed pixel reconstruction algorithms for PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) pixels, improving focus accuracy without compromising image quality.
-
Led image quality optimization and sensor evaluation efforts to support image sensor selection for ARRI camera platforms.
-
Played a key role in advancing ARRI’s codec (ARRICORE) processing pipeline by combining algorithmic innovation, sensor-level understanding, and system-level optimization to deliver superior cinematic image quality.
